Gertrude Stein moved to Paris in 1903 to be with her brother, Leo.
While in Paris She established an artistic and literary salon called 27 rue de Fleurus. Where she met people like Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, and Sherwood Anderson.
During her life in Paris she helped to inspire the Modernist form of writing found in the works of Hemingway and such.
