Two West Genesee Schools are Designated as Recognition Schools
The New York State Education Department has designated West Genesee High School and Stonehedge Elementary School as a 2019-20 Recognition School. This honor recognizes these schools as being among those in the state that have high academic achievement, growth and graduation rate, and have made progress during the 2018-19 school year.
West Genesee High School and Stonehedge Elementary School are among 582 schools total that the state designated as Recognition Schools.

Amended District Calendar for 2020-2021 Approved at BOE Meeting
The AMENDED District Calendar for the 2020-2021 school year was approved by the Board of Education at their meeting on May 6, 2020. (Four Superintendent Workshop half-days were added to the calendar on October 16, 2020; November 3, 2020; February 3, 2021, and May 20, 2021.)

Kindergarten Registration Extended through May 15, 2020
Kindergarten Registration for the 2020-2021 school year began on December 3, 2019 and has been extended to May 15, 2020 at the Central Registrar Office located at 300 Sanderson Drive, Camillus, NY 13031.

West Genesee Central School District Property is Closed Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
- School property will remain closed, with the continuation of remote learning, through the end of the academic year.
- The West Genesee Online Learning Portal is available by clicking here.

- The District is providing meals to students who have registered. Click here for Food Distribution information and updates.
- In order to comply with the recent NYS directive that includes essential workers, social distancing, and other parameters to the health of our communities, all District facilities, indoor and out, are closed at this time. We look forward to when our fields, playgrounds, and other common meeting places become utilized. Until then, these areas are closed.
- The Annual Meeting for the election of Board of Education Candidates and Annual Budget Vote has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2020. All eligible voters will be mailed an absentee ballot which must be returned by 5:00 p.m. (E.D.S.T.) June 9, 2020 in a provided postage-paid envelope. Please look for an informational postcard that will be mailed to District residents soon. Deadline for filing an application for Board of Education candidates is May 11, 2020, click here for more information.
