Greetings Parents/Guardians,
It was another great week of teaching and learning at Seaborn Lee!
Homeroom Parents
Thank you to all of our parents who attended the Homeroom Parent Orientation on Tuesday, September 26th. We appreciate you volunteering to assist the teachers and the school in keeping parents informed of class and school events. All parents will receive a flyer requesting that you provide the homeroom parent with the best method of communication (cell phone, email, etc.) for you. We will use the contact information that you provide to send you information.
Note: We still have a few homerooms that are in need of homeroom parents. Please contact Ms. DaSilva, Parent Liaison, at dasilvak@fultonschools.org for more information and/or to volunteer.

Attendance Updates
At Seaborn Lee we are closely monitoring student absences and late arrivals to school (tardy). Please make sure that your child arrives to school by 7:40am daily. We have noticed a large amount of students who are car riders arriving to school late. If your child plans to get breakfast from the cafeteria, please drop them off in plenty of time to maneuver through the cafeteria lines and make it to class before 7:40am. The breakfast line closes at 7:35am. Our teachers are eager to begin instruction at 7:40am. We begin the day with our Response to Intervention (RTI) block where students spend time working on specific skills for remediation or enrichment. Students who arrive to school late miss out on this valuable time. In order to see even greater student academic gains this year, we need all students here on time every day.
It is also critical that you send in a note the next day whenever your child is absent. Student attendance is a critical factor in academic success thus we are asking for your support and assistance with sending your child to school every day.
PTA Executive Board
Thank you to all of our parents who put their names in the hat for our new PTA Executive Board. Elections were held this week and our new officers were elected for President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
If you are not in one of the positions above, we would still love for you to help us by signing up to serve on a PTA committee. More information will be given at the first PTA meeting.
We look forward to all of our parents joining PTA this school year. Dues are $10 per family.
Box Tops for Education

Fulton County Strategic Plan 2022
In early 2017, Fulton County Schools (FCS) began work on a new strategic plan, which will be rolled out at the beginning of the 2017-18 school year. Our district's plan will serve as a guide and a focus for our work as a district and community for the next five years. It will help ensure that all stakeholders in the community – from the School Board, to staff, to principals, to teachers, to students, parents and community members – are working toward a shared set of goals and priorities.
Read the Strategic Plan here: FCS Strategic Plan 2022
Members of the Board of Education have worked closely with the Superintendent to identify a goal that articulates what should be true for FCS's graduates and a set of focus areas that will help us achieve that goal.
