PK 4.3 - Weekly Newsletter
Dear families,
Our last week of Rocks has been quite eventful as we have talked about the types of rock that come from volcanoes and some theories of how dinosaurs long ago may have become extinct. We will give an official closure to the Rocks Study with a special experiment that Mrs. Ginni is going to do!!! Among other things, they also had a great time engaging in a “human-size” tic-tac-toe on the playground; in which they taught each other strategies of how to make a line with X’s and O’s and patterning.
They watched a few short videos describing the rock cycle and how volcanoes erupt as well!
Next week we will begin our study of Trees. Nature is always a great interest to each child and I think it will be a great success judging by the level of interest kids had learning about rocks. We will explore what they know about them so if they have any tree or other nature parts that they would like to share with the class to put in our Discovery Area, we encourage them to bring them or take photos as well.

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Dormant or Erupting?
Sometimes they can be dormant, like Volcan Baru in Panama or just ERUPT like volcanoes in Hawaii or Guatemala!
We had a lot of fun making art and pretending to be active volcanoes. Take a look at some snap shots below :)
