Kindergarten Round-Up and Registration
Registration for Tipton Elementary School’s Kindergarten is now open for the 2024-2025 year.
Our annual Kindergarten Roundup is set for Friday, April 19. Kindergarten Roundup offers an engaging opportunity for children to visit the school, spend time in a kindergarten classroom, meeting teachers and staff and participate in learning and social activities. In addition, staff can conduct kindergarten screening assessment and readiness skills while our littlest Blue Devils enjoy a special welcoming event.
In addition parents will have the opportunity to provide the required enrollment documentation for their child and register while meeting with the school staff and transportation personnel.
Various community partners will also be present. Each session will be one hour. To sign-up, go to: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C044CA8AB28A0F58-kindergarten. Additional information to complete enrollment forms will be sent to those families who have pre-registered by Friday, April 12.
To enroll for kindergarten, children must be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2024. To pre-register your child, go to: https://tcsc.powerschool.com/public/formbuilder/form.html?formid=1968281
Scenes of Learning from around TES
- Students in Mrs. Leffler's class work in groups on circuits during science class.
- TMS 6th and 7th grade multilingual (ML) students challenged Mrs. Geiger's 5th grade class to a Blooket Competition over the Preamble.
TES Staff Spotlight - Technology Team
This week we spotlight our TCSC technology team!
Steven Gingerich, TCSC's Director of Technology - With over a decade of professional experience in the field, and much of it in K-12; Steven oversees daily operations of the Technology and Information Systems at Tipton. Outside of work, he can often be found spending time with his wife, Ashlei, and their four children; Benjamin (age 7), Caleb (age 5), Isaac (age 3), and the newest addition to their family, Abigail (3 months). He's also an avid hobbyist musician who enjoys playing guitar, drums, piano, and bass guitar; as well as other creative pursuits such as graphic design.
Bianca Stahl is an avid reader, gamer, and anime binge-watcher who overuses emoji and exclamation marks (her words!). She primarily works in the elementary school, has a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design & Development, and built and maintains the school website. Bianca considers herself to be relatively boring, preferring to spend time at home and be in bed by 7:30. She recently had her first bout of kidney stones and doesn't understand why human pearls can't be sold for much gold.
Quinton Bell was born, raised, and still lives in Anderson. He attended Indiana University and picked up technology and working in education as the family business, following his mother and father into the field. He is an avid sports fan, outdoorsman, reader, video game player, and former runner-up on the Westfield Insurance Brain Game.

Students who are interested in singing in the choir have been given an enrollment paper to take home for their parents' signature. Simply return the paper to their teachers to sign up for choir. It's that easy.
Students who want to join the Band, mark your calendars to attend the Band Sign-up Night on Tuesday, March 19 at 6pm in the Tipton Elementary School cafeteria. During Sign-up night, students will learn more about being part of the Blue Devil Band. Paige's Music of Indy will also be on hand to help parents rent or purchase instruments. If you already have an instrument, bring it with you and come order a music book and supplies.
For more information about Band, contact Mr. Shaver at rshaver@tcsc.k12.in.us.
To learn more about Choir, contact Mrs. Haynes at jhaynes@tcsc.k12.in.us.
