Keeping Up with Comm Arts
~ March 18, 2024 ~
Hello Comm Arts Family and Friends!
Welcome back! We hope your Spring Break was spectacular.
Dr. Jordan, Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, toured our classrooms the Wednesday before Spring Break and was very impressed with our student body. Animation II featured a showcase of their finished projects, which awed her. She inquired if we competed with these projects and was happy to learn that we do. Our SkillsUSA heads to the State competition next month.
The solar eclipse event is coming up on April 8th, 2024. Please schedule any pick-ups or deliveries before noon or after two. Both campuses will be closed for safety reasons while the eclipse is in full effect. We have safety glasses and a safety lesson by our science teacher, Mr. Martin. He will also have telescopes for us to use. Again - please conduct all office business before noon or after two because we will be closed to concentrate on our 530 students. This is an opt-out form if you do not wish for your child to view the event.
This Wednesday, March 20th, is Professional Learning Time. Teachers will be in meetings before school and unavailable for morning tutoring. Grades for report cards were due March 8th. Report cards will be available on HAC by Friday, March 22nd.
Juniors and seniors with off-campus lunch stickers. Stop by our front office for your off-campus sticker for the last grading cycle. Remember that eligibility is determined based on AP exam fees, attendance, and grades.
