Cost: $190/Credit Recovery and $300/Original Credit
IVSA Summer i-Ready Bootcamp for K-8 Students
Dates: June 11 - July 25, 2024
Offering: Skill development in Math and Reading with Live Sessions guided by IVSA teachers

Let us "shout out" your student. IVSA students are successful in so many activities outside of the classroom including Hockey, Gymnastics, Tennis, Figure Skating, Music, Acting, Theater, Ballet. If you would like to share a success story that we can use to "shout out" your students, please send a picture or video and short description and we can highlight these students in March!
Meet the IVSA Staff
MEET Ron Chernobrov:
Ron Chernobrov is a HISTORY/SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER and IVSA TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST who has been teaching with the Illinois Virtual programs since 2012 and also works as an adjunct professor at a local community college near Chicago. He holds an undergraduate degree in history from Knox College, a master’s in Instructional Technology from Western Illinois University, and a master’s in History from Chicago State University. In his spare time, Ron enjoys tinkering with computers, reading, playing video games, and hanging out with his dog, Casey, who also serves as his teaching assistant.
MEET Margaret McGregor:
Margaret McGregor is an ENGLISH AND MUSIC APPRECIATION TEACHER for IVSA. Margaret has 28 years of experience in education, working with Pre-kindergarten through high school students as a teacher, reading coach, and administrator. In her free time, Margaret enjoys traveling, watching classic movies, playing the trumpet, running marathons, and creating word games and puzzles.

We have a BOOK & LOOK club in for IVSA students. Students will meet to discuss the book of the month that they watched and read.
IVSA IMPACT sessions on Wednesdays for FTA Students
Join Mrs. Elvers and Mr. Grimes for IVSA Impact Meetings on Wednesdays at 10:30-11:30am. Students will get the opportunity to interact with their School Counselor and Student Success Coach, as well as work through our Social Emotional Learning Curriculum. All FTA students have been sent calendar invitations to join these sessions.
IVSA will make a pitch in April at the ASU/GSV Showcase in hopes of earning an award!
