Changes in Breakfast Routine
In the past, all K-6th grade students had the option to be dropped off in front of Roth for breakfast in the cafeteria at 7:30am or to be dropped in front of Emery Hall at 7:40am. This year we are asking all the students from K-6th grade to enter Emery Hall building at the main enterance at 7:40am, they will be given a to-go bag breakfast to eat in their classroom. They will eat until 8:00am, before classes starts.
Early Childhood students will be dropped off in front of Emery Hall by the ECC playground (the left entrance of the building). There are snacks provided throughout the day for our littlest Jackrabbits.

Planning for In-Person Classes
Going back to school this fall will require schools and families to work together even more than before. KSD has make several changes to our policies and operations with several goals: supporting learning; providing important services, such as school meals, and social services; and limiting the transmission of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Teachers and staff can teach and encourage preventive behaviors at school. Likewise, it will be important for families to emphasize and model healthy behaviors at home and to talk to your children about changes to expect this school year. Even if your child will attend school in-person, it is important to prepare for the possibility of virtual learning if school closes or if your child becomes exposed to COVID-19 and needs to stay home.
Please start training your child on:
- how to wear a mask
- how to maintain distance from other adults and children
- how to effectively wash their hands
- how to take care of their bathroom needs independently
- how to tie their own shoes or use velcro shoes
