CVHS Counselor's Corner
Counselors have returned for the new school year! We are excited and ready to serve our Jaguar families. The beginning of the school year brings new student enrollments and master schedule needs, making it one of the busiest times of the year for counselors. We understand there are questions regarding students' schedules. We hope to answer most of them with our friendly email auto response and information in the following paraphrases:
During the first week of school a digital Change of Course Request form will be made available to students through their cohort Google Classroom (Jags22, Jags23, Jags24, and Jags25). This form is for preference requests and requires a parent's email to receive notification of their student's request. All requests are reviewed and considered except for teacher, lunch and classes with friends. Submission of the form does not mean that an automatic change will take place. Students will receive notification of the decision by email. The form will close this Friday, August 6 at 3:30 pm. Counselors have until the 10th day of school to complete course changes.
Counselors are correcting schedule errors before the 1st day of school such as, missing class periods, missing required academic courses, having duplicate courses, and others. All non error requests will be referred to the Change of Course Request form.
