CB West Spotlight
May 10, 2017
The contestants of Mr. West 2017 proudly presented a gift of $2000 to the Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center, which is located in Chalfont. This year the Mr. West team chose to benefit the Aark to match the theme of the production, Into the Wild, and everyone felt strongly about supporting a local cause related to animal rescue. The Aark is an organization that focuses on caring for wounded wildlife, retraining animals to reenter the wild after an injury, and educating the public about how to handle wounded wildlife and how to safely and respectfully appreciate wild creatures. They are able to help more than 5000 animals a year! The baby great horned owl pictured is just one example. He fell from his nest, and the Aark is helping him build strength so he can fly on his own and be released into the wild in July. It certainly was a proud moment for the Mr. West team!
