Lets go further in depth
The jovian planets are the larger planets in the solar system. These planets consist of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and then Neptune. They descend from larger in size to smaller in size. One key important fact is that even though saturn looks like it has rings, all of the jovian planets have rings. However out of all the jovian planets saturn has the most in number and most in visibility. They take a very long time to revolve around the moon.
Jupiter is the largest of the gas giants. It takes 9.5 Jupiters to go around the diameter of the Sun while it takes Earth 109 Earths for the diameter of the sun. Jupiter has a Great Red Spot. Looks that way because it has gasses twirling around in a hurricane like spin but without the water.
Saturn is know as the father of Jupiter. Unlike Jupiter it is know for it’s beautiful rings. These rings are larger in size but they are super duper thin which most people do not know. These rings are made up of ice (dried gas ice) and rocks.
Uranus is know as the magician or Saturn’s father. Uranus is tilted by 90 degrees and is the only planet that is tilted by such a tilt. It takes Uranus 84 years to go around the sun. So if it were compared to Earth it will have 21 year seasons.
Neptune is called the mystic. Neptune has a great dark spot. It is known as a magician because the dark spot when observed will appear then disappear depending on the time you look at it. This dark spot is much like the red spot of Jupiter. Mostly known for its moon Triton. It is big in comparison to its planet. One thing that Triton differs from every other moon is that it rotates clockwise instead of counterclockwise.
Why are the jovian planets so different from the terrestrial planets?
They are composed of completely different objects. Jovian planets are much larger and cooler while terrestrial are smaller and hotter.
