Student Surveys
Dear MMS Families,
We thank you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate the children in our district. As you may already be aware, building our practices based on student feedback is an important goal for our school this year. Over the next several weeks, students and teachers will participate in several exercises to better understand these concepts and to reflect on how they perceive these skills in themselves.
We will be asking for your child to reflect on their own mindsets and approaches to learning via an online survey they will be completing at Mooresville Middle School. The survey shouldn’t take more than 20-30 minutes to complete.
The survey content will ask students to self-reflect on General School and Teacher Rigor and Relationships (considered one survey) to include student perceptions of teaching and learning, culture and climate, and student experiences in the classroom and be given between November 9 - November 19, 2021. Schedules and times are school-specific. You can see a copy of the surveys below:
7-12 R2 March 21- April 11 (Part 1- General School).pdf
7-12 R2 March 21- April 11 (Part 2- Classroom Teacher).pdf
7-12 R2 March Part 3 (7-12 only)
These are the same surveys students took in November. We are asking that all of our students in grades 3-12 participate in the survey, as their responses will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt our district to their needs. If a student doesn’t feel like they have enough information to answer a question, they will be able to skip the item altogether. The responses to these surveys will be completely confidential. We are using Panorama to support us in administering these surveys.
If you do not want your child to take part in this survey, please fill out the Opt-Out Form by March 11. If you have more than one child in the district in grades 3-12, please fill out a new survey for each child you would like to remove from THIS survey list.
We thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact your school at (704) 658-2720
Sincerely,
Ayana Robinson
