Expectations for Grade Proof Sheets and Attendance Sheets
Monday 9/18-Grade Proof Sheets and Attendance Sheets will be in your box by 12 Noon. You need to check over these grades using your green grade book as a guide to make sure they are correct.
Tuesday 9/19- Grade Proof Sheets and Attendance Sheets are due back to Gaby by 12 Noon. If your conference is after this time, you must get it to her before your conference; she has deadlines as well.
No excuses for not meeting the above deadlines.
Open House Wednesday, September 20th 5 p.m-6 p.m
Instructional Aides will have assignments throughout the building.
Parents will meet in the auditorium first for a Title 1 Meeting, then be sent to your class.
Open House is when families come to see the environment/classroom their student learns in daily. You will briefly walk your families through classroom expectations, a short curriculum overview, and the academic expo presentation. This is not a time to have a conference; if parents try to have one, explain that you cannot discuss specifics and will contact them to schedule a conference at another time.
Nintendo Tournament and Glow Party
When-Thursday 9/21
Where- STEM Lab (students scheduled for STEM will go to P.E)
Time- During Specials
Glow Party is for students with perfect attendance for the semester and no referrals.
When- December 14th
Time- 2:30-3:00
ARD and 504 Meetings
I would advise you to get the Google Calendar App to receive notifications and reminders for these meetings. These invites will appear on your calendar, and it is important that you accept by selecting "Yes."Then, a checkmark will be beside your name, letting everyone invited know you will attend.
Cafeteria Expectations
1. Be quiet at a voice level of "0" when entering the cafeteria.
2. Voice level "0" until everyone has gone through the line and received a tray.
3. Eat and visit with your friends at a voice level "2".
4. Voice level "0" while cleaning up.
5. Exit the cafeteria at a voice level "0."
Those on lunch duty must maintain the voice levels because kindergarten is in class, and we must respect their learning environment.
Set the expectation without yelling, using the call back signal of "5" as many times as necessary to get the desired response. Silent lunch is an absolute last resort and should not be used often.
If you have questions, please see Mrs. Anaya or myself.
Assembly Chants
Assembly Chant Routine
Monday-7 Habits (really eight, but 🤷🏽♀️)
Tuesday- Personal Pledge
I pledge to myself on this day to try to be kind in every way to every person, big or small; I will help them if they fall. When I love myself and others, too, that is the best that I can do.
Wednesday-7 Habits (really 8, but 🤷🏽♀️)
Thursday- Positive Affirmation
I am kind
I am intelligent
I am a leader
I have a voice
Friday- 7 Habits (really eight, but 🤷🏽♀️)
Please find time to review the chants in class so your students and you know them during assembly.
Eduhero, FEMA and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Trainings
Please prioritize finishing the Eduhero and FEMA pieces of training.
Walk-Through Focus-What are we looking for?
Instruction Dimension 2.2 The curriculum content is being followed appropriately.
Learning Environment Dimension 3.1-The classroom is safe and
accessible to students, organized and not cluttered.
