Two Hour Delay- Staff reports to work exactly two hours after their normally scheduled time to arrive. It's a quick day with lunch starting right after arrival (there is a 2-hr. delay lunch schedule that we use on these days).
NOTE: We would love to allow you to come in and work on Code Red/Green Days but the regulation does not permit staff to work on those days. Thank you for understanding. In emergency situations, you may request access from administration on a Code Green Day (ex. you left something that you need at work). Nobody will be granted access on a Code Red Day...

The SHES Giving Tree
Dear Staff,
As part of our mission at Signal Hill Elementary, we are focused on finding meaningful ways to help others in our school and community. Each year, we help our own families through our GIVING TREE. In recent years, our need has increased and many parents have reached out to help so we are also including SHES families and friends who would like to participate. As a result, information about The Giving Tree is included in the SHES Weekly Update this week for SHES families.
The holidays are fast approaching and our Giving Tree is full of tags. If you would like to help out this year and do a little holiday shopping for a child, you can request tags from Staci King, Melanie Riley or Ellen Pashiardis. There is a sign-out process so that we can account for all of the gifts. If you choose to participate, all gifts should be wrapped with the tag attached and will need to be back at Signal Hill by Monday, December 18th, at the latest. As an alternative to a specific giving tree item, we will gladly accept gift cards to local grocery stores for our families in need.
Please do not feel obligated in any way to participate. This is simply an opportunity that we wanted to offer to you because so many of you have already inquired and many of you have participated in previous years.
Thank you,
Mel, Ellen and Staci
