GA Information for All
Welcome Back from Mr. Graham
Welcome Back GA family !
We hope you enjoyed a happy and relaxing Break. We have returned to a busy time. Our High School Pirates will be taking their First Semester Exams next week. Schedules have been sent out and phone reminders made to ensure everyone knows which exams are when. ALL exams will be held at the Mary Potter Campus. The Second Semester begins 22 January.
This week we will begin holding Friday Labs for students in grades 3-8 who are performing below 60% in two or more subjects. Students will be contacted to inform them they must attend. Please take advantage of this intervention to help you be successful in our Blended Learning model. Labs are held at Tar River from 9-12 in the Community Center and at Mary Potter Campus from 1-4. Students may attend either campus.
Message from Mrs. Warehime: Final Exams
Final exams for our high school students are quickly approaching! Granville Academy students will test at Mary Potter Middle School on January 13th- January 17th. You will receive specific testing times soon.
To help ensure that our Pirates are successful, GA will host an EOC boot camp for English 2, Biology, and Math 1! The Boot Camp will be held at the GA Mary Potter Campus from 9am - 12pm on January 10th! Mrs. Allison, Mr. Spradlin, and Mrs. Young have all agreed to help support GA students on this day!
Also, please remember to catch up on missing work!

Granville Academy K-5 & 6-8 Family Support/Outreach Groups
K-5 & 6-8 Granville Academy families:
There are two Facebook groups that are set up for GA Pirates and families in grades K-5 & 6-8 (as parents and students) to come together and get to know each other better. The idea behind the pages is to have somewhere to go for support (help with assignments that may be confusing) or to plan a fun outing with the group ("Hey, anyone want to go to the park and have lunch this Friday?").
Please note the pages are set up to protect the privacy of students & families. Only GA Pirates are allowed to join. Please search for the groups on Facebook!
We are looking forward to getting to know our GA Pirates!

NC Test Tutorial
Mrs. Warehime has placed the tutorial inside of Edpuzzle so that we can track who has completed the tutorial. When they click on the link provided, they will see the window below. Please have your Granville Academy students to record their first and last name on the line that reads nickname. Once they JOIN the class, they will be able to go through the tutorial.
Please place the NC Test tutorial link in an announcement, as a REMIND announcement or however you communicate with your students and emphasize the importance of completing this tutorial. Tutorials must be completed by January 9, 2020. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me or Mary Warehime.
