Math and ELA Summer PD opportunities have been posted in My Learning Plan.
Summer is a great time to take advantage of PD offerings. You get to relax and enjoy family while taking a day or two to sharping your craft. Many of the PD offerings are in line with our school goals and non-negotiables for next year.
If there is other PD you would like to see to help you with the curriculum, please let me know. We will work with the instruction department to get you what you need to be successful.
MATH PD- A Year in a Day.
We will have 2 sessions offered per grade level. In the sessions teachers will take a deeper look into the grade level standards and we will model how the year should progress based on the curriculum map. Teachers will learn number talks, tasks, and other activities to differentiate instruction based on the needs of students. At the end of the day, teachers will be provided with a long range plan of math for the year including suggested pacing, and support documents that are aligned to our curriculum map.
