Today we get to celebrate Janell Hughes. Janell, an instructional assistant at Canyon Crest Elementary, received the Provo Way award in April, 2024. Janell is an incredible educator who has earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues. For: Teachers who need to renew their license
USBE (Utah State Board of Education) has revamped/facelifted their website. You will find everything you need to know about how you are expected to renew your license if your license expires as of 06.29.2024 at their website. Learn more on the employee website. Post-exp.6.29

Provo CAPS Spring Showcase, an evening of client-based project presentations completed by CAPS students for local businesses, will be held on Monday, May 13 from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Nu Skin Ballroom, 75 W Center St., Provo, UT. The event is open to secondary students, secondary educators, school counselors, district administrators, families, and district employees. Light refreshments will be served. Provo Caps Flyer. The Colonial Heritage Festival is an amazing opportunity to step back in time and be part of colonial America in the time leading up to the Revolutionary War and the Founding of the United States of America. We need people to help set up on July 2 at Scera Park in Orem, take down on July 8, and fulfill multiple shifts at the festival on July 4,5,6 (the festival shift require you to “dress the part” which we can help you with ). To celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Day, our local McDonald’s owner/operators have approved a fundraiser Tuesday, May 7 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. where 20% of all digital sales during that period will be tracked and donated to the restaurants local Education Foundation or School District. Download the McDonald’s app and order your meals from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday May 7, 2024.

This summer the technology department in conjunction with Google will perform a merger of the Student Google workspace into our main workspace taking the district from two Google Workspaces down to one. This merger is needed for several reasons, but the main reason is to simplify the future workflow so that teachers are not juggling two different email domain logins for mission critical apps and products. More information will be emailed out to students, parents, employees, and school administration.
