SLMS Titan News
Closing out the Week of January 30, 2023
Titans,
This month kicks off Black History Month and we have several things planned for our Titans. Our students will engage in advisory lessons, Titan talks during lunch, and we will have a display in our hallway. We will share with students the reason we have heritage months along with the significance.
On Feb. 10, 2023, we will have our Spring Dance for all students. The last day for students to purchase a ticket is Feb. 8th!
Next week is National School Counseling Week! Our counseling team was recognized again with the prestigious CREST award from the Texas School Counseling Association. The SLMS counseling team brings programs such as Titan Camp, parent nights, Hidden in Plain Sight, and high school counselor visits to our campus. Please thank our counselors for the exceptional work they do each day.
Thank you all for supporting our SLMS Community!
Sincerely,
Dr. Latoya Garrett
Principal
