Summary
A Mango-Shaped Space is a book about a 13 year old girl who sees life differently than others. Ever since she was little she knew something was very wrong. She thought everyone saw life the way she did until she talked to her parents about her problem. She then goes to the doctors about it. They find out that she has a disease, she then goes and learns new things about this disease.
Conflict; Man Vs. Self
Mia, the main character, struggles with herself. She contemplates on whether she's a freak or not. And whether she's crazy or not. She also doesn't know as much about herself as she thinks she does.

Mia Winchell is a teenage girl who sees life differently from others. She is kind, sarcastic, and outspoken.
Jenna Davis
Jenna is Mia's bestfriend. She's the same age as Mia and they've been bestfriends since they were in 3rd grade. They're also neighbors and they live right next to each other. She is outspoken, kind, and sensitive.
