THANK YOU BEARCAT COMMUNITY!
We are incredibly grateful to our maintenance, technology, custodial, police, transportation and cafeteria staff for working around the clock to prepare our campuses for learning this week!
We are so thankful for their incredible commitment to our children, staff and community, even when they had their own personal difficulties caused by the winter storm.
We have received and continue to receive support from so many people and organizations. There are so many people to thank for their support of our students, staff and campuses. Chicken Express in Willow Park fed our maintenance crew last week, and Mr. Jim's Pizza in Aledo opened early Sunday as the Aledo PTO provided lunch for our maintenance and custodial crews and McAnally staff getting the school ready to open. H-E-B in Hudson Oaks stocked the McAnally teacher’s lounge with snacks and drinks after it flooded, and Brookshire’s in Aledo went above and beyond in helping the Aledo Education Foundation with providing additional support for McAnally staff members. Thanks to the quick response of Imperial Construction, we were able to get all of the damaged areas on campuses cleaned and dried out quickly and replace drywall within days of flooding. Our network of churches and Aledo Children's Advocats have been working tirelessly to meet the basic needs of our students and staff. So many more in our community have helped our schools, our staff, our kids and each other, and we get questions every day about how people can help.
THANK YOU!
If you are looking for ways to help, please consider donations to the Aledo Children's AdvoCats, the Aledo Education Foundation or the Aledo PTO.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information
The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is coordinating the rollout and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines all across Texas. They have created a COVID-19 Vaccination Plan for Texas which includes phases that identify groups of individuals eligible to receive the vaccine first, and then next and so on.
The Department of State Health Services also provides a map of locations all around the state showing where providers of the vaccine can be found. Anyone eligible to receive the vaccine now can reach out directly to any of these providers to verify eligibility, and request an appointment time to begin the vaccination series. The DSHS map can be accessed here.
Individuals seeking the vaccine do not need to go to their doctor or PCP nor even get the vaccine in the area or county in which they live. Here is where you can find information about COVID-19 vaccines in Parker and Tarrant counties:
- Parker County Hospital District: Appointment slots for FIRST doses of COVID-19 vaccine open online on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8 a.m. Appointments for your second dose will be scheduled when you receive your first dose. If you have difficulty accessing the website, call the Hospital District at 817-341-2520 to schedule an appointment. All vaccines will be given by appointment only.
- Tarrant County Public Health: click here to request vaccination appointment.
