The Siegrist Star
February 6, 2023
Hello Siegrist Families,
We hope you have had a wonderful week. This week we were able to celebrate the 100th DAY OF SCHOOL on Monday, January 30. Siegrist students participated in 100 day activities and some dressed up to look like they were 100 years old. This year we have had a lot to celebrate and only have 73 more days of school to go!
Last Friday evening, many of us kicked off the weekend with BINGO!! The evening was full of food, friends, family, and fun! We want to give a big THANK YOU to our Siegrist PTA for sponsoring our BINGO night. It was a blast! There were prizes for kids and adult bingo winners. Several generous donations allowed the silent action to be another success of the evening. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this night so much fun, and thank you families for spending your evening with us and our wonderful Siegrist community.
Please consider joining our next PTA meeting on Monday, February 13th at 6:30 and be sure to follow our Siegrist Facebook page (CLICK HERE) to stay updated on all things Siegrist.
We wish you a warm weekend and look forward to seeing everyone next week during our Spring Showcase on Wednesday. This is an opportunity for all of our Siegrist Leaders to show off their goals and learning.
All the best,
Mrs. Johna-Kaye Sutton

Siegrist 5th Grader Invites Community to "Little Free Library"
For her Girl Scout Bronze Award project, Siegrist 5th grader, Brianne Behne researched and built a Little Free Library for her community. Since the local library is closed on Sunday, she thought this would be a great way for people to share books with each other. Please help her spread the word, and feel free to drop off any books you no longer want or need. Maybe you’ll find something interesting to exchange!
The Little Free Library is in the parking lot of the Platte City United Methodist Church at 14040 N Highway. It’s on the northwest corner where accessible parking is available. Happy Reading!

State Assessments and Planning Ahead
PCR3 State Assessment Window Announced!
State assessments, for students in grade 3-5 at Siegrist Elementary, will occur between April 24-May 19, which is our announced PCR3 district assessment window. If you are planning any family vacations, trips, etc and have a student in grades 3-5th, if you could try your best to avoid your child(ren) from being absent during this time (April 24-May 19th) it would be very much appreciated. We will communicate specific grade level testing dates once they have been determined at Siegrist. Thank you for your partnership!
