East End Elementary News
November 7, 2022
Dear East End Families,
Thank you for your support of the Book Fair this past week at EEE. It was great! Thanks to Mrs. Jayme Lively, media specialist, and the host of volunteers who made this special week in our media center possible.
We have a very busy schedule this upcoming week at EEE. 1st – 5th graders along with Mrs. Behnke’s class travel to Clemson University for Education Day on Monday, November 7th. We are very excited to be able to have this field trip experience again! Volunteers who are joining us for the field trip should arrive to school by 9:00 - 9:15 a.m. Please be sure to support the PTO at Chipotle for Spirit Night on Monday, November 7th from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Details about online ordering along with how to register your purchase for the PTO in the restaurant are included in this newsletter. Hope everyone enjoys the Election Day holiday. School will re-open on Wednesday, November 9th with our last session of volunteer training at 8:15 a.m. Some have asked for a morning session. So, we scheduled this last session on Wednesday, November 9th at 8:15 a.m. in the cafeteria.
All preschoolers aged two and up are invited to join us for Pup Tales Preschool Story Time at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9th. We also hold a special Preschool Pup Tales Story Time on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. for our sweet friends from Rogers Day Care. We love our time with preschoolers! Hope all parents, guardians and preschoolers can join us! All preschoolers in attendance take home a copy of the book, bag of home activities, participate in a craft, and have refreshments during this fun time led by our reading coach, Mr. Kyle Stelling. This is always one of our favorite times each month.
Our PTO has planned a Skate Night on Thursday, November 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rollertime Family Skate Center in Easley. Friday morning brings a Veterans Day Drive-Thru Breakfast. Please help us spread the word! We hope for a large crowd! We’ll have sausage biscuits, drinks, and a treat for all veterans who drive thru! Thanks to our PTO and to Mrs. Juli Byars, GT teacher, for all their work and support of this event. Our awesome East End students will join Mrs. Byars to serve our veterans for this super event. Please help us spread the word!
We are looking forward to a great week!
As always, thank you for your support of East End Elementary!

Some parents have asked for a morning volunteer training session. In order to help, we have planned one very last volunteer training on Wednesday, November 9th at 8:15 a.m. Those who wish to be cleared for upcoming field trips are asked to come to this last session. The individual should complete the background check in Raptor this same day to ensure the possibility you can be approved for upcoming field trips. We have a December 1st field trip to the Children's Museum for 5K and the entire school will be taking a field trip to EFBC for our school wide assembly on December 16th at 8:15 a.m. This session next week will be our very last volunteer training. We focused on having these training early to get everyone ready for upcoming field trips. Please mark next Wednesday, November 9th at 8:15 for our last session.
