Principals' Update
Greetings MacArthur Families,
Our Kindergarteners stole the show today with their fabulous performance of On the Same Day in March! It certainly made for the perfect way to start a Friday. This play was developed from the book, On the Same Day in March: A Tour of the World's Weather by Marilyn Singer. The students did an amazing job sharing their learning during today's performance for families. Special thanks to Ms. Albano, Ms. Derderian, Mrs. Durkin, Ms. Fitzgerald, and Ms. Gehrman for all of their hard work to prepare the students for the performance and the direct connection to their learning in the classroom about the weather.
The perfect way to conclude your Friday is to join us for this evening's PTO Rafflemania from 6pm - 8pm. Over 100 raffles, (Click here to see the list!) This tropical themed dance party is a good time for all! Food is available for purchase. Use this flier for more information.
Next week brings our culminating events for Read Across America! We have been capturing minutes all month long and are excited to report that we continue to increase our minutes read each and every week! If you have not shared your reading minutes at home this week, please add them now so we can continue to mark our travels. Log your reading minutes here!
Wednesday, March 27th brings our favorite day of the year! Character Dress Up Day! Students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite book character. It is such a special day and one that truly captures the connection to our core value of Being Yourself. We do ask that students refrain from using masks as a part of their costume.
Finally, the Waltham SEPAC is meeting next week on Tuesday, 3/26 at 7pm virtually. Find the Zoom Meeting Link at WalthamSEPAC.com. Information on the meeting can be found here using this link or in Spanish and Portuguese.
