Parent-Teacher Conferences
Just a reminder if you haven’t signed up already for parent-teacher conferences, please do so soon as spots are filling up quickly. Spring parent-teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 6th and Thursday, March 7th. Students will have a ½ day on both days and will be released at 12:10 p.m. There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 8th. You will receive an email requesting that you select a conference time. As a courtesy to your child’s teacher, we ask that you sign up for only one conference session per child. We have also included each teacher’s link for your convenience as well. If you do not have internet access, please contact our office at 694-7600 to schedule. We are hoping for 100% attendance!

Michigan's 3rd Grade Reading Legislation
In 2016, Michigan legislators passed a law to help more students be proficient in reading by the end of 3rd grade. The document in the link below is a parent's guide to the law. The ways schools will help and ways parents/families can help is also included on the document. For information on how to read with your child can be found at this link. Thanks to the St.Clair ISD for permission to use the document. Please contact the Alamo office if you have any questions.

Alamo Elementary Building Goals
Every year the school Student Support Services staff member teaches students about the differences between rude and mean, behavior and bullying. Although students are aware of the differences, confusion about bullying can often take place. The survey reported that 12% of parents and 6% of students were concerned with bullying. In an effort to continuously be aware of potential bullying, to maintain a safe environment and to equip students with the knowledge and skills to respond to bullying, Alamo staff is dedicated to continuous improvement in this area.
Alamo Elementary will increase education on bullying by:
Continuing to provide classroom lessons
Define Rude, Mean, Bullying
Upstander vs. Bystander
Improve the Bully Reporting System
Create a Bully Awareness Parent Plan
Host Assemblies on Bullying Topics
