Fall Festival is this Friday night! The fun begins at 5:00 p.m. and concludes as the sun goes down between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. Can't wait to see you and your families out for the fun!
The Elm Street Color Run is coming up soon: Saturday, November 7. The deadline to pre-order a race shirt has passed, but race registrations and sponsorships are still being accepted. Keep the date marked on your calendar to join in the family fun. We have our first Gold Sponsor for the race: C.S. Toggery on the square in downtown Newnan! Thank you! Elm Street Color Run:

Our teachers will be in their classrooms from 6:00-6:45, and you are invited to drop by at any time during that window to let your child show you how they learn. Mr. Tate, Mrs. Pigott, and others are getting in on the action too! We'd love to know if you plan to attend, so please let us know you're coming. Reservations are not needed, but it would be nice to know if you're planning to attend: http://goo.gl/forms/r3bXn9XN2h

Classroom Guidance - focus on safety
A word from Mrs. Pope about Guidance Lessons this month...
During the month of October, classroom guidance lessons will focus on safety, making good choices, and Red Ribbon Week.
Our kindergarten and first grade classes will be reading Sarah’s Sick Day to understand how taking medication can be unsafe if they decide to take it on their own without the supervision of a parent or another trustworthy adult.
Our second graders will be reading Charlie and the Curious Club during Red Ribbon Week to learn about the difference between medication and candy.
Our third graders will read Smoking Stinks a book that discusses the negative aspects of smoking.

Come out and visit your child's classroom, CAMP (specials) classes, and others on Tuesday, November 3, from 6:00-6:45 p.m. Simply drop by as you're able that evening to catch a glimpse of learning in our classrooms. Come as a family and let your child show you just how he or she learns each day! School has changed so much since we were the young ones, and this is a great opportunity to catch a quick glimpse of how our students spend their time each day. Although a reservation is not needed, we would love to know if you're planning to attend. Please click here to let us know: http://goo.gl/forms/r3bXn9XN2h
