Leveling the Field
See the screen shot below for an example.
In The Bullpen
Medicaid:
- Alex (not Gordon) checks every 4-6 weeks and alerts the case manager of newly eligible students.
- It is the case manager’s responsibility to inform the related service providers.
- Check the student’s IEP to determine what related services a student receives.
Moving forward, please begin obtaining signatures on the "Parent Consent for Medicaid" form at your IEP meetings. Be sure to obtain parents' initials at the bottom of the form indicating you have given them the "Notification for Accessing Public Benefits or Insurance." This form is found in SEAS under "Forms."

AT NEWS: New Wording in AT Considerations Section of SEAS:
The question is worded differently this year. It is asking “Do they have needs?” So the answer is:
“ Yes” if we have data that supports specific needs (already established) and
“No” if we:
A) Do not think there are any needs OR
B) We are unsure if they have needs and we plan to do some trials with tools and collect date to determine if it is needed- we would explain that in the text box, as we always have in the past.
