Ms. Batdorf's class practiced what to do in the library if there was a fire drill.
After that, they went on a guided tour and discussed the new things that are displayed for their learning.
Next, Ms. Grande's class noticed different kinds of apples on the table in the center of the library. They had never heard about the star that is inside of the apple until today.

There is more than one story about the star in the apple.
Ms. Araiza's class heard the story about an apple tree that wanted her very own star, which she got.
Ms. Rogers' class learned about John Chapman also known as Johnny Appleseed on a website on the Internet and in a biography book in the library. He planted apple trees
in the early pioneer days - a long, long time ago.

Today, Ms. Fults' class learned that Johnny Appleseed lived in four different states and was friends with the Indians, settlers and animals.
On the guided tour, Ms Fitzgerald's class noticed four eyeballs on the table instead of two. They said the eyeballs show that four is greater than two and that two is less than four.

During library today, Ms. Phelps' class discovered that if you cut the apple from top to bottom instead of across, you can't see a star.
While reading about Johnny Appleseed on a website, Ms. Fentress' class noticed that he wore a hat somewhat like Michael Recycle. It looked like a pot with a handle.

Ms. Covington's class heard part of the hardback book, From Shoot to Apple. They finished it as an ebook in the FLM library.
Friday, Ms. Rowlett's class checked out books. While doing that each student checked to be sure their picture matched their name, if they had a picture from last school year.
