Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment Courses
During Mount St. Mary’s course selection process this spring, your child may have registered for one or more of our AP (Advanced Placement) or Dual-Enrollment courses for the 2024-2025 school year. We are pleased and proud to offer a number of these courses and thankful to employ talented and dedicated faculty members willing to teach them.
Before we begin building our master schedule, we want to share with you the course expectations and requirements for the college level course(s). The academic rigor and workload of a college level course is significant and we want to ensure that both students and families understand the expectations. Many of these courses also require summer work.
We work closely with each local university in partnership to offer college dual enrollment courses; costs are set by the specific university. Costs that are listed on forms reflect those during the 2023-2024 school year. We have not received notice of costs for the 2024-2025 school year.
Students will receive MSM high school credit for their successful completion of the course and also college credit. For the Advanced Placement courses offered through the College Board program, there is a standard $100.00 fee per course that pays for the exam and test resources. Please note that there is no fee that is due at this time.
Students will be provided forms for all of the AP and Dual Enrollment courses offered for next year in their grade level Google Classrooms. The forms will also be sent to students via email. Additionally, there are paper copies available in the Career Center (Room 205). Please read through the paperwork that outlines the prospective coursework. There is a signoff form included that must be completed by both parent/ guardian and student.
Return forms to Ms. Jordan Osborne in the Career Center (Room 205) by Tuesday May 7th. This will give our Counseling Team time to make the necessary adjustments to course selections as we build the master schedule. Thank you for your attention to this task.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Joanne Uhl at juhl@msmacademy.org or 716-877-1358 ext 206

Final Transcripts
After a student puts a deposit down to attend a college or university, that school will ask for the student's final transcript. This final transcript will list every course the student took in high school and the grade they earned.
Mount St. Mary Academy will send one final transcript per student to the college or university they have indicated they are attending. Transcripts will be submitted as soon as they are updated. This process should be completed by Memorial Day weekend.
After graduation, as alumni, former students will need to request transcripts through the school website. Under the Alumnae tab is a blue button, Request an MSM Transcript. Your request will be fulfilled through this process.

The program will include various guest speakers, firm visits, and activities throughout the 2-day packed agenda.
