Principal's Message
Dear Oak Hills Families,
Spring Break is finally here. I hope you will enjoy some much deserved down time with your family. Upon your return, we will be in the busy month of April. I wanted to make sure that you were aware of two very important events in April.
Please mark your calendar for the upcoming STEM /Open House and Future Ready Night on Thursday, April 6, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In addition to the STEM Fair in the gym, all our classrooms will be open for you to drop in and see what students are learning and how technology is used for teaching and learning. Additionally, to celebrate being a Future Ready School, we have organized additional technology and library experiences for you. I would like to thank our teachers and Mr. Samuelson, our Innovation Strategist, for organizing all the Future Ready activities and our district colleagues who have decided to pitch in on this very special night. We even have Mr. Bundy, our Maker Space expert, bring the Future Bus. In the gym area, you will find the science projects, creative STEM projects engineering projects and the engineering challenge for all grades. I would like to thank Rebecca Leibowitz for doing a phenomenal job in bringing together the STEM Night this year and to all the volunteers who plan to help. Looking forward to seeing all of you there.
Please also join us on Wednesday, April 19, from 1:15 pm to 2:30 pm for our annual Volunteer Tea. This year’s theme is “WE NEED S’MORE OF YOU.” If you have volunteered even once this school year, please join us. We have a lovely program ready for you. All grade levels will sing, dance, and share how much we appreciate the work you do for us every day. Oak Hills is the outstanding school it is today because of your dedication and support. Thank you so much for being there for our students and staff. Please allow us to celebrate you!
Make lots of fun memories this break!
Warm regards,
Sheila Baumgardner, Principal
