Preparing for Success
The first days of school are always filled with a mixture of excitement, anticipation, and perhaps a bit of nervousness. It has been heartwarming to witness the students' enthusiasm and their eagerness to engage in the learning process. Our dedicated team of educators has been working diligently to create an environment that fosters growth, curiosity, and a passion for learning.
During these early days, we are laying the foundation for an enriching academic year ahead. The relationships that our students build with their peers, teachers, and staff members play a pivotal role in their overall development. Encouraging open communication, empathy, and respect within the school community is a shared responsibility, and I encourage you to reinforce these values at home as well.
Wildwood's K-5 Back-to-School Night is this Thursday, August 31. Back-to-School Night is a parent/guardian ONLY event that should not be missed. It is one of the best ways to begin building that all-important home-school connection and learn how you can best support your child's academic, social, and emotional growth this school year.
Until then, we encourage you to take a look at the Back-to-School Tips resource posted below by our wonderful school counselor, Lorena Martinez. Additionally, we encourage you to watch the embedded video below entitled "How Every Child Can Thrive by Five". The 7-year old speaker offers "some powerful things you grown-ups can do to shape us as children and the adults we become." The talk is aimed at families with young children, but much of the content is applicable to children of all ages.
Enjoy the rest of this beautiful weekend, and we look forward to seeing your children tomorrow and you on Thursday!
Warmly,
Mr. Lynch
