Nesta Robert "Bob" Marley was born on February 6,1945, he grew up in a small town in Jamaica called Trenchtown. He was a Jamaican musician and singer and a songwriter. He was famous for playing the guitar also. Playing guitar was his main vibe in most of his songs. He came from a mixed ancestry, his father was a white Jamaican and his mother was an "afro" Jamaican. He was really famous for his reggae music that was spread around the whole world. He was mainly influenced by all of the cultural problems in Jamaica.
He started a band with some of his friends in 1963 while he was a teenager. Their band was called the "Wailers". After a few years they were discovered and they were to become famous. Bob Marley traveled all over the world while he was on tour. Some of his most popular songs are "Jammin, Could You Be Loved, Stir It Up, I Shot the Sheriff."
He ended up with a type of cancer called "melanoma" which killed him on May 11,1981 when he was only 36 years old. His music is still very popular until this day.
