All students in grades PK-5 should report to their classrooms dressed in their "Christmas Best" no later than 5:15pm. Any involved Middle School students should report to the Art/Music room by 5:15pm. Chorus members will wear the Christmas Best as well. Others will receive specific instructions. The program will be done in time for families to attend 7:00pm Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Christmas Best = dress slacks, sweaters, button-ups, dresses, skirts/blouses. No jeans, graphic Tees, sneakers, or (girls) heels. We look forward to sharing our talents and efforts with you!

Please join us for the annual 8th Grade Cookie Walk. It will take place at Father Andrew White on Thursday, December 8th, before the Christmas Pageant. Come and sample the homemade cookies baked by the 8th grade class. Half of the money raised will go to a charity and the other half will go towards the end of the year 8th grade trip. We hope to see you all there! Also be sure to stop by the Hot Cocoa station! All proceeds from the Hot Cocoa sale will go to the Missionaries of Charity Sisters.

November Virtue Winners: Humility
Monthly Virtue
Our school continues to participate in the Virtues in Practice program this year. Each month, the whole school focuses on the same virtue as we hope to grow closer to Jesus by imitating His life and virtues. We also learn more about the saints who exemplify these good habits. This month students and families are learning about the virtue of patience. Please be sure to model how you wait and endure without complaint during the month of December.
During school hours this Friday, December 9th, our children will be able to experience the joy of choosing their own Christmas presents for family members and pets. This year Santa Shop will be held in the St. Aloysius Church Hall and your children will be able to select from an inventory of pre-purchased gifts for those on their shopping list. Gifts will be set up on tables and displayed by category (Moms, Grandmas, Dads, Grandpas, Brothers, Sisters, and Pets). Your child(ren) should have received a money control envelope where they will be able to list the names of the people they are shopping for and how many gifts they are buying. Each gift is $3. Please return the envelope with payment for the gifts by tomorrow. Parent volunteers will assist the children during their shopping experience and gifts will come home wrapped and ready to be placed under the tree!! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Linda Greer at Lindagreer@gmail.com.
Share the warmth with our neighbors!

Notes from Nurse Rose
Ever heard of Gary Chapman’s 5 Love Languages? One that is very fitting for this time of year is “Gifts.” When you are able to feel love through your primary language (in this case giving or receiving gifts) your body responds in positive ways. “Feel good” chemicals are released which affect both your mental and physical health. The other love languages include words, touch, quality time, and acts of service.
Especially at Christmas, it’s good to remember that not everyone’s primary love language is gifts. Thus, if you want to help someone feel good, you could do a little investigating to learn their love language and treat them accordingly. And if “gifts” IS your primary language and you’re feeling disappointed by not getting things you wanted, try looking at the situation differently to see if maybe you were being shown love in other ways.
Either way, just share the love and reap the many benefits to your health!
We sent 109 Christmas stockings to our deployed troops!
Congratulations to all who became Catholic over Thanksgiving break! Welcome!
Looking for Service Hours?
Do you love organizing a good party or an amazing event?
The Home & School Association is seeking a Chairperson (or Chair Team) and committees to plan and organize two of our biggest and best events of the year: The Spring Social & Auction and also our Spring Fun Run! The groundwork has already been laid for the Social & Auction this April, but we need teams in place to continue with the rest of the planning! Here are the positions that we need filled immediately:
- Spring Social & Auction Chairperson (can be 2 people)
- Spring Social & Auction Planning Committee Members
- Fun Run Chairperson (can be 2 people)

Duties for both events include soliciting sponsorships and donations, planning details, some marketing, logistics and executing the events. We’d love your outside-the-box ideas! Chairpersons of these events qualify for the complete fulfillment of the Service Scholarship/Volunteer Hours. If you’re interested in helping with either of these events, please email our HSA President, Jen Tennyson at jntennyson@gmail.com to get started! The Home & School Association (HSA) is grateful for any time or resources you are able to give!
