April 5, 2024
Tomorrow, April 6, is the District-Wide Early Childhood Resource Fair. Tell your friends!
Parents,
Monday, April 8, the total solar eclipse will cross Texas during the middle of the school day. The next total solar eclipse that can be seen from the contiguous United States will be on Aug. 23, 2044! We want to make the most of this spectacular opportunity for our students! Safety is our priority for this event. We have purchased solar eclipse viewers using the ISO 12312-2 international standard for students to use on this day. All students will have viewers. Teachers have received safety instructions and will instruct students on safely using viewers and observing the eclipse. Please send a note to your child's teacher if you do not want them to view the eclipse outdoors.

You Won't Grow if You Don't Show!
Are you having a hard time getting your child to school now that summer is coming? We want to help!
- The principal will choose random "Attendance" days.
- Students who get to Austin before the 8:00 bell will be entered into a drawing for random prizes or fun coupons.
- Prizes will be announced on the Austin Announcements to celebrate students who win.
How can you help?
- Encourage your student to come to school every day they are able. Talk to them about pushing through the "I just don't want to" feelings we sometimes get.
- We will use SMARTags to collect names of students who are here and on time, so be sure your child has their tag on their backpack and remind them to scan on and off the bus. Is your child's tag missing? No problem. Let us know here.
