Happy Friday
This year has been WILD already and I know you are ready for a few days of relaxation - shame we aren't closer to these blue waters!! Maybe you can spend a little time in the pool? The lake? Maybe just the bathtub?
Anyway, enjoy your long weekend!

PLEASE STOP AND TAKE NOTE
Simply put - don’t just forward my weekly news out to your parents and students. On occasion, my personal cell phone number is on there or other content that is, again, not intended for student/parent use but FOR YOU, the teacher.
**If there is a District-Wide/Shareable News type communication, I will specifically direct you to forward it directly - otherwise, I would appreciate you creating your own email/news to then send to your students with important information.
Thank you so much for your help with this going forward.
Katie
SURVEY - ALL COMPLETE BY SEPT. 16
CLICK HERE FOR THAT LINK - REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR NAME IN YOUR ANSWERS.
- These things time out so the only way to keep it open is to make it anonymous but if you don't include your name, I will have no idea who you are.
Calendar Reminder
If you need another invitation to the link, just email me and let me know.
If you have any questions, please CLICK here for Office support and Calendar Basics.
Reminders:
- The web version & desktop version are very similar
- Only list dates of performances/exhibitions and other public event dates - NOT rehearsals
- When naming events, it is important to list the title and time in the name.
- Please turn OFF reminders for your events on the calendar so we don't receive multiple reminders each day.
Thanks!
Email All Caught Up?
Yeah, me either BUT I did clean out my inbox and handle much of what was waiting on me.....I think.
That being said, I feel like I might have just spit in the wind a little SO - If you are waiting on me for something, please email me and let me know right away.
I love freedom but false freedom is bad - let me know if you need anything.
Visual Art Teachers Only
This year, he is asking again for artwork. There are four student art opportunities at the GaDOE. Reminders will be sent closer to each of the dates but wanted to let us know so we can begin to prepare:
Constitution Week: Submit student artwork celebrating the US Constitution or the United States of America beginning September 1 - September 14
Christmas: Submit student created ornaments beginning November 20 and ending December 14.
Farm-to-school: Submit artwork highlighting farm-to-school opportunities and GA agriculture beginning March 1 - March 15.
Easter: Submit student-decorated Easter eggs beginning April 1 and ending April 17.
If you have any questions, let me know. I will not be collecting these and sending them. I am just offering a reminder for you that these opportunities exist. As I understand it, the individual schools can send the pieces. Dr. Woods will also reach out to the individual schools and I believe they are looking for one from each school rather than a school-wide production (as that would be very overwhelming).
