According to the “Child Marriage Facts and Figures”, "in 2012, 70 million women 20-24 around the world had been married before the age of 18." Force Child marriage continues to physically and mentally change the lives of adolescent girls in a negative way.

Child Marriage around the World
- Child marriage is a serious problem through a lot of countries and their different religions and cultures
- Adolescent girls that have been force to marry are everywhere from the Middle East to Latin America, South Asia to Europe ("Girls Not Brides").
Since forced marriage is a “problem” worldwide, then there are most likely so many girls suffering everywhere which is unfair.
The Impact of Forced Child Marriage
- Forced child marriage can cause a girl to drop out of school.
- These girls that marry young are at a higher risk of physical and sexual abuse. ("The Trials of Marriage").
- Force Child marriage unfortunately puts an end to their education and exposes them to violence and abuse
- Since their bodies aren't fully grown, it puts them in a struggle at pregnancy and child birth. ("African News Service")
Becoming a Victim
- According to the "Child Marriage Facts and Figures" they say "One third of girls in the developing world are married before the age of 15.
- "In Yemen, 52% of adolescent girls are married before they turn 18 years “old” and 15% of them before they turn 15 years old.
- Almost half of adolescent girls in South Sudan are married between 15 and 19 years of age ("The Trials of Child Marriage").
