News from the principal
This week I am highlighting some of our special events that occurred this week, remember I am also highlighting the great learning that is going on at Lincoln on Twitter, check it out @LincolnD303.
Also, conferences are quickly approaching and the scheduling software pick-a-time will open to parents on Monday, October 15 at 7:00 am. See the attached pdf for directions.
Run-A-Thon
There was a great energy to our day Wednesday! I want to thank all parent volunteers for helping organize and supervise our Run-A-Thon event. The weather was somewhat cooperative, we were able to have some classes outside and the afternoon indoors. I know the event required numerous parent volunteers and our Lincoln parents didn’t disappoint, in the attached PTO news you will see! It was great to see so many students and parents enjoying themselves while being physically active. These events play a vital role in forging a strong, well-rounded community. Again, I know to pull off an event like this, it requires many people working together, and putting students first. My gratitude goes out to all who were directly and indirectly involved. We successfully raised $3002.47 to date. THANK YOU!!!
Fire safety visit and Fire Department Open house
On Thursday morning we had the St. Charles Fire Department visit our kindergarten, first and second-grade students. They talked not only about fire safety but also about health and safety topics throughout our lives. They also brought their new van highlighting drawings from D303 students from last years contest. The St. Charles Fire Department also has an open house tomorrow, October 13 from 12:00-3:00.
