ActNow Bullying Prevention Program is ready to begin
Dear Parent or Guardian,
Our school is once again participating in an online bully-prevention program, Act Now! that discusses being a good friend, feelings, bullying, and the difference between tattling and telling. Children‘s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) created the program and offers
resources for children, parents, teachers and caregivers to help keep kids healthy and safe. During CHW‘s Act Now! program, your child will spend time viewing short online lessons, watching videos and playing educational games. Teachers will be incorporating these activities into the classroom prior to winter break. To find out more about CHW visit their website at www.HealthyKidsLearnMore.com.
During or after the completion of this program could be an excellent opportunity
to discuss some of these topics in greater depth with your child. We appreciate
that you may have a different perspective to add to our academic approach. Topics for discussion and additional resources can be found on the Act Now parent link.
We feel that health and wellness is an important part of your child‘s education.
This is not a permission slip. However, if you do NOT want your child to
participate in the program, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.
