Change your password monthly. Don't make your password easy to figure out. Use letters and numbers. Don't share passwords with others. Don't reuse the same password among different websites.

The average Web user maintains 25 separate accounts but uses just 6.5 passwords to protect them, in a study from 2007. The ancient art of password cracking has advanced further in the past five years than it did in the previous several decades combined. At the same time, more people have been using the same password on multiple accounts now security provided by the average password in 2015 has never been weaker.

Never post your personal information, such as a cell phone number, home number, home address, or your location on any social networking site or through mobile apps like Snapchat or Instagram.Never meet in person with anyone you first “met” on the internet. If someone asks to meet you, tell your parents or guardian right away. Some people may not be who they say they are. Never respond to mean or rude texts, messages, and e-mails. Delete any unwanted messages. You may need to delete friends who continuously bother you or post things that are not appropriate.

Cell phones are a great way for people of this day in age to get social. There are also down sides. You need to not do inappropriate things on your phone. All you need to do is be smart, if you wouldn't show it to your grandmother then don't post it. Follow the rules to internet safety and you'll be fine.
