Multicultural Week is a time to celebrate and educate diversity through tradition, heritage, and food. We want to celebrate you and your culture. This week, April 17 - 21, 2023 we will be celebrating the cultures of our Falcon families through Lunch Time Activities, Spirit Days, and a Rally with performances. Prom: Masquerade
Seniors! Prom is 1 month away. Celebrate your last year in High School with your friends at Hotel Valencia on April 29, 2023. Doors will open at 6:00 PM. This year’s theme is Masquerade. Tickets are now available at the School Bank starting at $145. Admission and Food are included. Get your tickets early before prices go up!

Robotics Team:
Congratulations to Andrew Hill's Robotics Team for winning the Gracious Professionalism Award and Safety All-Star Award at one of California's most prestigious regional events! The team demonstrated kindness, safety, and good sportsmanship throughout Silicon Valley Regional and gave out safety maps and meditation sessions. Are you interested in a STEM major in the future? Robotics is as close to real-world engineering as a student can get! The club has 6 sub-teams: Mechanical, Programming & Electrical, Media & Business, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Watch out for robotics sign-ups to join and participate in team history!General Announcements
Bay Area Clinic:
Bay Area Clinic is in the process of reopening for Andrew Hill students and their families. Stop by for a consent form, M - F 7:30 - 4:30 at S-105. Bay Area Clinic offers sports physicals, specialty care, vaccine updates and medical help.
Free Vision Clinic
On April 23rd, 2023, Cupertino De Anza Lions Club will hold a free vision clinic at John Vianney Community Center. They have 10 doctors signed up and aim to see 500 patients that day. They will issue recycled eyeglasses or order new eyeglasses where necessary. Ongoing treatment / surgery can be arranged with the Lions Eye Foundation in San Francisco. All these services are provided at no cost. Spanish and Vietnamese translation will be available.
Veritas AI | Harvard Grad Run AI Program
Veritas AI is an AI program for ambitious high school students, founded and run by Harvard graduate students. In the program, students learn the fundamentals of AI, interact with world-class AI practitioners, and build a real-world project. Here is the program pamphlet and the application form. The upcoming deadline for our summer cohort is April 16 & the final deadline is May 14, 2023.
TUPE Program:
The Santa Clara County Office of Education Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) Program is recruiting for the Peer Advocate Advisory Council (PAAC) for the 2023-2024 school year. The Peer Advocate Advisory Council (PAAC) is made up of 20 student advocates who are passionate about leading tobacco prevention work in Santa Clara County.
This opportunity is open to all students in Santa Clara County including youth with non-traditional leadership skills as well as youth with lived experience. This opportunity is for 9th-12th grade students including incoming Freshmen in the 2023-2024 school year. Please see the post attached and share with your students. Apply Here Applications must be submitted by 5:00pm on May 31st, 2023.

What kind of issues does the Mental Health & Wellness Center address?
The center addresses a wide variety of issues such as:
Stress/anxiety symptoms
Low mood/depression symptoms
Sexual orientation/gender identity questions
Family/home Issues
Chronic illness
Substance use
Violence and abuse
Peer relationships/social supports
Cultural supports
Crisis support (during school hours)
Off-site resources & referrals
Tools available for students to use in the center include:
- Art therapy tools
- Calming techniques
- Fidgets tools other manipulatives
- Aromatherapy
- Sound therapy
- Sensory materials (including tea)
- Learning materials, magazines, and books
