Successful Year So Far!
Off to a Great Start
The 2012-2013 school year has proved to be a busy one in the library so far. After the first seven days when textbooks were distributed, teachers wasted no time getting their classes in for book selections. EGHS teachers obviously know the best way to improve reading skills is by READING! Many teachers have expanded their guidelines for what students can read to include poetry, magazine articles, biographies, coffee table books, comics, how-to books, and fiction of all lengths and levels! Students have been excited to be allowed to read what interests them. Aren't we all? See the most popular books from first semester below ~

THANK YOU PTSA!
We send a huge thank you to our PTSA whose efforts raised $345 for our school library. They organized a "Herd Night Out" with our local Rubio's restaurant, in order to supplement the library's meager operating budget. Our students will all benefit from the books this will help purchase. We're lucky to be a part of this HERD!
