What Is Copyright?
A collection of rights granted to the author of a piece of work.
Public Domain:
Available to the public and not subject to copyright. An example would be Shakespeare’s work.
Freeware:
Copyrighted work you can copy, use, or give away free. An example is ITunes because it is free and there is no other version that costs money.
Shareware:
A copyright that you can share and copy but only for a limited time. Minecraft lite because the full version you have to pay for.
All Rights Reserved:
Only allows the purchaser to use the software based on the licensing agreement. An example would be microsoft word.
Open Source:
A software that includes the source code with the idea that someone can improve it. Linux is an example.
