Dr. Robert Brooks presents Fostering Family Closeness and Respect on April 5.
In his presentation, Dr. Brooks will describe factors that help families to experience greater warmth and respect.
He will discuss the importance of:
- practicing empathy in order to understand and respond to each family member
- changing ‘negative scripts’
- establishing realistic expectations and goals

- disciplining in ways that promote self-discipline rather than resentment
- helping each member to feel special and appreciated.
Dr. Robert Brooks has lectured nationally and internationally to audiences of parents, educators, mental health professionals, and business people on topics pertaining to motivation, resilience, family relationships, the qualities of effective leaders and executives, and balancing our personal and professional lives.
