2024 Dragon Basketball Homecoming
The week of February 5 - 9 was our 2024 Dragon Basketball Homecoming at MHS. On Tuesday, February 6, Warren Watkins and Bryley Thomas were crowned 2024 King and Queen.
Congratulations to Roger Atwell for being chosen as the 2024 Coming Home King.
Below are the members of the court from each class and the king candidates from the senior class. Congratulations to Warren and Bryley and to everyone on the court. You represented your class, your family, and yourself very well.

STEM students testing out their balsa-wood bridge building designs. Students were given building criteria and tested to see which bridges held the most mass.
This Week at MHS...
Preparing for Life after MHS
The seniors in the Career Readiness class have been preparing for mock interviews since returning from Christmas Break.
Wednesday, February 7 was the first round of mock interviews for many seniors. The rest of the seniors will have their mock interview on Wednesday, February 14.
Special thank you to these individuals for taking the time to come on campus to be a part of this important project to aid our seniors in preparing for life after MHS:

Mock Interview Demonstrations
Warren Watkins and Cassidy Turner, MHS Seniors, went through a mock interview with Tina Hart - Human Resources at International Paper in Fort Smith. Warren and Cassidy gave permission for the video of their interviews to be used in the Dragon Weekly.

Conference Runners-Up!!!
It is a GREAT day to be a DRAGON!!
The Dragons and Lady Dragons have finished the 23-24 regular season as conference runners-up!! The Dragons are tied with Mansfield having beaten them twice this season!!
The Dragons and Lady Dragons will be the 2 seed in the district tournament next week and automatically qualify for regionals!! The Class AA West Regionals will be played in Greenland the week of February 19 - 24.
The Lady Dragons are set to play on Thursday, February 15 at 7:00 in the district tournament at Lavaca followed by the Dragons playing at 8:30.
We are proud of the 23-24 Lady Dragons and Dragons Basketball Teams!

Keep Up with Mountainburg Schools
The Mountainburg Board of Education meets once a month unless a special meeting is needed. A study session will be held at 5:15 and the business session will be at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held downstairs in the Mountainburg Administration Building.
