The Federal System
Federalism ♥
The Federal System/ Federal Government is...
Composed of the three distinct branches. Legislative Branch (2 houses, house of representatives and Senate), The Executive Branch (the President) and the Judicial Branch (Court system). The federal created the Supreme Law of the land "The Constitution." The Constitution is our laws that COULD NOT be taken away. The Federal System makes sure that Nations, Citizens, etc... Follow and obey the Constitution of the U.S by basically running the three branches. The Federal System could also be called Federalism.
Federalism created two powers. The National Government and Powers reserved to the states.
National Goverment Powers
* Declare war
*maintain armed forces
*regulate interstate and for foreign trade
*admit new states
* establish post offices
*set standard weights for caring out delegated powers
And many more powers that they have!
National And State Goverment Powers
*Maintain law and order
*levy taxes
*borrow money
*charter banks
*establish courts
*provide for public welfare
State Goverment Powers
*Establish and maintain schools
*establish logal Goverment
*regulate buissness within state
*provide for public saftey
And other powers not delegated to National Goverment or pronibited to states
