#3forHeart CPR
On January 2nd, tens of millions were watching Monday Night Football as Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during a game. People across the world quickly rallied together as one, supporting him, the team and one another, hoping and praying for his recovery.
What happened to him drove a huge surge in interest in CPR as so many suddenly realized the importance of knowing this lifesaving skill. Today, nearly one month later, Damar is making a remarkable recovery, thanks to immediate CPR and excellent treatment.
Damar Hamlin launches #3forHeart CPR Challenge | American Heart Association
Hamlin’s #3forHeart CPR Challenge is an exciting, yet simple social media challenge with 3 steps
- 1 – LEARN: Go to heart.org/3 to watch a 60-second video to learn Hands-Only CPR
- 2 – GIVE: Donate to the American Heart Association to fund CPR education and training, and other lifesaving programs and scientific research.
- 3 – SHARE: Use #3forHeart to challenge 3 friends to do the same on social media.
View his challenge post here on Instagram or on Twitter, where he called on NBA star LeBron James, NFL quarterback Tom Brady and former First Lady Michelle Obama to take the challenge.
Forever with a grateful heart,

Calling All Artists and Performers!
What: Fine Arts Day
When: Friday, March 24th
Where: Cowles Montessori
Who: Our Cowles community and Visiting Artists
It has been three years since our last Fine Arts Day! We can’t wait to bring visiting artists back into the school to share a day with our students.
Our Fine Arts Day is the focus for the entire school day. Each artist will lead either three forty minute workshops in the morning, three forty minute workshops in the afternoon or spend all day with us and lead six workshops total. The artist will have one class per workshop. We welcome over 25 different artists into our school on this day. Our artists include a wide variety of fine arts, including dance, drawing, musicians and many that are hard to put into a category. It is a great day, and we hope you are willing to present your talents that day.
