Dear Families
Eagle Families,
This next week will be a shorter week. Please remember that school will not be in session November 23rd to the 25th for Thanksgiving Break. We will return to our regular schedule on Monday, November 28th. As we have begun to experience colder temperatures and bitter blasts of wind, we ask that you send your students with the proper outside attire to stay warm at recess.
Have a safe weekend-

Show Your Support - Wear purple on Tuesday, November 22.
Since 1969, the Epilepsy Foundation has recognized November as National Epilepsy Awareness Month (NEAM). Although 3.4 million people and their families are affected by epilepsy in the United States, much is still misunderstood about this brain disorder. People with epilepsy and seizures experience multiple daily challenges, such mood changes, sleep, thinking and memory issues, social and financial concerns. Judgement, and lack of information about the condition can also create more obstacles for members of the epilepsy community. NEAM is an entire month dedicated to uplifting individuals living with the epilepsies and educating the public on what it means to experience seizures.
The Weather is Changing - Please Be Prepared
Coats, Hats and Gloves
Please be sure to check the weather before sending your students to school and make sure they are dressed appropriately. Coats, hats and gloves will be helpful in keeping students comfortable during outdoor recess in the colder weather.
From the Park Hill School District 2022-2023 Handbook
Students are expected to go out for recess each day. Appropriate clothing and shoes should be worn for outside activities. On days when the temperature and/or wind chill is above 20 degrees Fahrenheit and the playground is cleared of snow and ice, there will be outdoor recess.
Name Please!
Please write your student's name somewhere inside the jacket so that we may identify it and make sure it gets returned to its rightful owner. Our Lost and Found is overflowing with items that are not labeled and that have not been claimed.

Nominate a Staff Member for the Park Hill STAR Award
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a Pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee. Anyone can nominate an employee for this award by using the form below. It asks you to share how your nominee demonstrates our district values of continuous improvement, high expectations, integrity, visionary leadership and student focus. You can also share how your nominee supports the goals in our district’s strategic plan.
