News from Lions Park School
Letter from the Principal
Dear Lions Park Families,
Today we are sending home the first trimester report cards. It is difficult to believe that we are already over a third of the way through the school year! As you look over the report cards with your child, it is helpful to talk with them both about the things they have accomplished and also to work with them to set goals for future improvement. We want students to develop a growth mindset where they believe that they can develop both their intelligence and personality. If the adults in their lives help them see the things that challenge them as opportunities to grow and learn, it will help them to develop this type of mindset. This website provides some examples of how to nurture this in your children.
Report cards and conferences provide an opportunity for information to be shared between parents and teachers about what is going well and what could be improved. Please know that now or at any time, I welcome feedback from you as to what the school in general can do to better meet the needs of your family. Children are more successful when there is strong collaboration between home and school. I view you as critical partners in educating your children, so please reach out to me if there is anything the staff or I can do to strengthen that partnership.
Warmly,
Katie Kelly
Principal
