Approachable Accessibility Series
Featuring: Slideshow Presentations
Workshop Description:
Creating a slideshow is a great way to present information in a visual format. By using text, images, graphs, tables, or videos, you are able to provide visual context to the learner. However, how do you ensure the contents of your slideshow are accessible for all types of learners? Whether you use different slideshow themes or free templates, there are numerous ways to customize your slideshow to make it both visually appealing and accessible. In this hands-on workshop, you will apply basic accessibility design tips to your Google Slides and/or PowerPoint presentation.
What to prepare for this workshop:
This will be a hands-on workshop so please have a slideshow presentation ready that you have already made, and would like to practice/edit to make accessible. In addition, please make sure your slideshow is a Google Slides file or PowerPoint file.
In this workshop, I will introduce and demonstrate how to apply some accessibility and slideshow design tips and tricks, and how to use an accessibility checker. Then at the end of this workshop, you will get the chance to apply the tips you learned to your own slideshow.
