Try Tech as Your New Year's Resolution...
One semester down and one to go. Have a great break and come back refreshed and ready to start round 2. Upon your return, why not break out try something new? Go outside of your comfort zone and try a new tech tool, let the kids use their technology, or even have them create something with technology. Here are some ideas that you can use in your classroom. Let me know if you need any help or if you want to team teach using technology.

OneNote Class Notebook
Organize your lesson plans and course content in your own digital notebook.
Keep everything in a OneNote Class Notebook, and use its powerful search to find what you're looking for, even text in pictures or handwriting.
Your notebooks are saved automatically and can be viewed from any devices, online or offline.
Easy Ways to Integrate Technology with Little or No Prep...
Kahoot
Kahoot is a free game-based learning platform that makes it fun to learn – any subject, in any language, on any device, for all ages! You can search from users already made quizzes or create your own. Kids use their own device and enter a join code for a fun, engaging way to review content taught in the classroom.
Plickers
Plickers is a FREE app that can be used on any IOS or Android operating system developed by Nolan Amy. Students will receive a card that has a number on it and the answer choices A, B, C, and D. Teachers can print these free at plickers.com as many times as they need. The teacher will use her smart phone or tablet to scan the class cards and begin to immediately see student responses pop up on the screen.
Remind
Remind, formerly Remind101, is a communication tool that helps teachers reach students and parents where they are. It is completely anonymous and neither the teacher nor the parents has to provide their phone number. Parents or students join by signing up using a code and then teachers can send one way text reminders to keep them in the loop about what is going on in your class.

Animoto
Make great videos, easily. Turn ordinary photos and video clips into stunning, HD videos with Animoto's online video maker. Students can make videos about concepts they are learning in class, a book they read, or anything that demonstrates their mastery of a topic.
Tagxedo-Word Cloud
Tagxedo can be used at many different age groups and for different topics or ideas. It can be used to summarize a historical figure, practice spelling for the week, brainstorming and much more.

Quizizz now has a HOMEWORK Option!
Zaption
Zaption is revolutionizing online video for education. Teachers, trainers, and content publishers use Zaption’s intuitive web app to quickly add images, text, quizzes, and discussions to existing videos from YouTube, Vimeo and private video libraries.
QR Codes
Teachers can use these codes to get information to students quickly. QR codes are a great way to mix up the usual and motivate students to become more involved. Teachers can put QR codes on worksheets that link to a how to video or questions to further student's thinking
