Argentine School Scoop
February 2024
Message from Mrs. Bradley
Are you interested in subbing at Argentine? We're looking to hire a regular building sub as well as to have a list of subs to call when a staff member is out for the day. If you're interested in this, please stop by the office.
Do you have an associate's degree or CDA? Are you in school right now? Are you looking for something to do during the day while your preschooler is at school? We're also looking to fill a couple of full-time positions at Argentine. If you're interested, please stop by the office.
Please feel free to contact me at ebradley@lindenschools.org.
- Mrs. Bradley

Summer Eagle Club Interest Survey
If you haven't already completed this survey and are still interested, please click on the link below. We are trying to plan for days/times as well as staffing for Summer Eagle Club. In order to do so, we are asking all Argentine ECC and Eagle Club parents to complete this survey if they might be interested in the program. This survey is not the registration form and does not guarantee your child a spot for Summer Eagle Club.
March Is Reading Month!
Watch for a flyer to come home soon about our March Is Reading Month jamboree!
We are busy planning our next jamboree to celebrate March Is Reading Month. More information soon.
Send Us A Photo!
Email a photo of your child reading to ebradley@lindenschools.org, with their first and last name in the subject line. We'll be posting them on our social media accounts from now until Spring Break. The photo can be of your child and an adult, your child by him/herself, your child with a stuffed animal or pet, etc. By emailing the photo you agree to have the picture shared on district social media accounts.
Ways to Celebrate March Is Reading Month at Home
- Read together for 15-20 minutes every day. You don't have to read books! Anything that has words in/on it works.
- Celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday: make green eggs and ham (Green Eggs and Ham); have goldfish crackers (One Fish, Two Fish), popcorn (Hop on Pop), or animal crackers (If I Ran The Zoo) for snack time; make fruit kabobs ( Cat in the Hat); or see
how many apples you can stack to make a tower (10 Apples Up on Top). - Visit your local library.
- Make a fort and read your favorite stories together.
- Read outside on March 20 to celebrate Spring.
- Read a story with a friend, grandparent, aunt/uncle or neighbor.
- Read and make a recipe with an adult.
- Look up some funny jokes to share.
- Wear your PJ's and read to a stuffed animal or a pet.
- Read the street signs as you pass them on the road.

World Down Syndrome Day- Rock Those Socks! March 21
On Thursday, March 21 people around the world wear crazy socks as a way to bring awareness to Down Syndrome. The idea is that the crazy socks will spark conversations, which will provide opportunities for those who are affected by Down Syndrome or have
a loved one with Down Syndrome to raise awareness. This event has
been officially approved by the United Nations since 2012.
Argentine will have a crazy sock day on March 21. The crazier the better!
No School March 22 through March 31
We hope you enjoy a fun-filled week with your families!

How Tall Will Gus Be?
Argentine ECC and Eagle Club students have been busy making predictions about how big Gus will be by the end of the school year. Each student was given a sticker with his or her name on it, and they placed the sticker on the chart where they thought Gus would grow to.
